Due to Hurricane Rita quickly approaching the Houston, TX area, most if not all plastics producers have been forced to shut down their local production facilites and the employees have been evacuated.
Producers in general will need to assess plant damage before considering when to re-start production.
As producers are unsure of their ability to deliver resin as contracted, there have been numerous letters of Force Majeure issued.
