In the fall of 1998, the Saalfeld Paper Company merged with the world's largest paper company. This merger did not alter the philosophy upon which the company was founded - service and exceeding the customer's expectations.
In the fall of 1990, with technology and business growing rapidly, the Saalfeld Paper Company, began construction of a new facility located on a 17 acre stretch of land at Tennessee Avenue and Reading Road. This new building covers 5 acres and has 375,000 square feet of warehouse space with a state-of-the-art computerized inventory management system and 30,000 square feet of office space. The facility houses over 10,000 products, 250 employees, 3 shift operation, with 26 docks - 10 Receiving and 16 Shipping. We have a fleet of 65 trailers, 40 tractors, and 26 straight trucks which covers all of Ohio and 10 surrounding states.
In the year of 2004, Saalfeld found that it was time to find a new home. With the business growing, we were busting out of our seams. Saalfeld decided that is was time to move again. We hunted and hunted and found a new home in Hebron, KY. Our new space was built and we moved into it in July of 2005. Our new space boasts 500,000 square feet of warehouse space. See below for details on Saalfeld's new home.
